Which Mystic Messenger Character Are You? By John Keats

which mystic messenger character are you

In the classic story Jack Harkness, famous British writer and illustrator John Keats picked up The Mysterious Messenger as a young man who was about to go into business for himself in a new country. This was before the days of the World Wide Web or email, to the Internet has not much help either. But he still wanted to send out letters, and this is where the story takes an odd twist. You, the modern reader, are the one who must unravel the mystery and figure out which mystic messenger you are and why you have been chosen to incarnate in this way.

The story begins with the main characters, the young merchant who is away from home, the messenger boy who are preparing for his journey, and the three separate but related families that help make the story work. While the merchant is away, his assistant, Father Ross, tries desperately to keep the family afloat, and he gives them cryptic instructions about the paths they should take. A brief mention is made as to how the evil witch from the dark forest sends her potions to infect the merchant's daughter, Melia, and when this happens, the boy's father is killed.

Who do you think will win the fight between the three main characters in this classic story about three unlikely heroes? Will someone draw a magic wand that can turn the clock back or will there truly be a way to know when the clock has wound backwards? If you want to know how you'll answer that question as you read along this fascinating and thought-provoking book, then you need to start reading it now.

John Keats is a master storyteller. He knew full well that people needed a plot line to draw them in, but he kept his story vague enough that if anyone cared enough to pick it up, he might lose the thread and it all went down the drain. His descriptions of the rural village where the novel was set are realistic and down to earth, but not enough for me to want to spend my week trying to work out what all the fuss was about. This is another book by John Keats that don't get much attention, but it's an absolutely fantastic example of how a story needs to be told.

Reginald Marsh is the main character in this lovely book. We spend some time following his trials and tribulations as he interacts with people who aren't always so pleasant. We see his spiritual side as well. The fact that he wants to help those less fortunate shows just how deep the mystical side of being human really is.

I wasn't going to read any of the entertaining dialogues because I don't care for them as much as I care for the descriptions of the scenery. I don't like books that are too descriptive because I tend to get bored very quickly. I did enjoy the descriptions of the countryside seen through the eyes (and ears) of the character. I enjoyed the descriptions of the villages that we encounter. I even enjoyed the descriptions of the food they cook and eat.

Which Mystic Messenger Character Are You? by John Keats is the first book of the Spirit series. It's a great book to start with because it's a coming of age story. It tells us about young Peter Huddleston, who is thrown into a world of magic and wonder, and left alone to sort out his problems.

This book continues where the first novel left off, so I can only hope for the best. I will admit that I was hoping for more of Huddleston's character and that he had more company with which to do adventure with. However, that's just my personal opinion. You'll have to judge for yourself!
